About Me

Bemhreth is a Software Engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the computer software industry; skilled in Programming Languages (Python, C++, Java, javascript...), training, leadership and coordination skills. He is an engineering Student working on his Bachelor's degree focused on Software Engineering from Addis Ababa science and technology University. He has gained valuable experiences by working in different companies. He has worked in leadership positions at DSC AASTU(it is a community supported by google developers more info here https://dsc.community.dev/) and AIESEC in Ethiopia(https://aiesec.org/), programming positions at Icog Labs and Empower youth(in India) and coordinating and training positions at Dereja and Icog ACC. Bemhreth also aspires to solve community problems using technology. He is currently working on a startup which is expected to be very helpful for the community.

Skills

Programming

I have done many internships in different areas starting from application development to AI-related worked and have experience in working with different programming languages like python,c++, android, flutter, and web Development.

Leadership

I have been involved in different leadership positions starting from being a leader for a school project to being the DSC lead which is supported by google developers to our campus and I am currently involved with leading a startup with was founded by me and the founders.

Team Coordination

working in a team and being a coordinator is part of the work industry I am in but my time in AIESEC has developed that skill for me and since then, I was involved in different team-leading positions and I can say I have done a good job and learned a lot.

Things I've done

School projects

Version control system more like github but for pc.it was programmed by me and the team I was leading for a school final project. We used java and the UI was made using java swing Cinema ticket ordering system we used c++ to program it and I was the project manager as well.

Icog ACC / Trainer

Trained students on programing tools like scratch

Personal projects

Yoyo music app using flutter Dictionary app for non profit company to preserve a language that is going extinct link for the project is available on github (it is an on going project not done yet) Face detection project using OpenCV library

Icog labs / Software engineer(Internship)

Worked on AI-related programing Worked on RDBMS using C++ by creating all the data structures needed and using dynamic programming Worked on the wumpus world game by creating a smart agent using logical gates and also by creating all the data structures needed from scratch.

Empower Youth / Android App Developer(internship)

Used youtube APIs to import videos from a specific channel to their already existing application. I also got the chance to travel to India to do this Internship

AIESEC in Ethiopia

Worked in finance by being Local committee Manager of finance, legalities, and administration from August 2020 - present Worked as a team leader on the External Relations team from April 2020 - August 2020 Worked as a team member on the OGX team from November 2019 - April 2020

Google Developers /DSC lead

Currently working as a Developer Student CLubs Lead for Addis Ababa Science and Technology University.

IMS/Dereja

Worked as a career expo facilitator in the Division called Dereja working on managing the data of the students interested in the event and also working in communications.Worked as a coordinator on the dereja Academy program for the Graduating class on our campus mainly worked on Marketing.
